Shaw Informatics is a specialist provider of Informatics Consulting services for Life Sciences R&D.

We have over 20 years of experience working with Life Science companies globally, implementing and managing complex enterprise software solutions. This insight into different companies, business practices, technologies and cultures enables us to share this knowledge and experience with our customers, adding significant value to the services we provide.

We have worked with many of the top Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies, shaping deployment strategy with leadership teams or providing the interface between the business and the internal informatics teams.

We have domain expertise across R&D, from lead generation screening through to pre-clinical and development formulations and analytical sciences. We are familiar with many of the technologies used today, specialising in lab automation software such as ELNs, LIMS and screening systems.

We also provide Professional Services management consulting to consulting and technology companies looking to develop their consulting services capability.

Roger has over 20 years of informatics and professional services experience across a range of technologies and domains within Life Sciences and Health Care.

Prior to founding Shaw Informatics, Roger held various leadership roles at IDBS, playing a key role in its growth from a small UK start up to one of the leading global ELN providers. As head of the EMEA Professional Services organisation he was responsible for many successful global Enterprise Software deployments, as well as leading the pre-sales, support, validation, managed services and partner organisations.

Before joining IDBS, Roger worked as a Pharmacologist at Novartis and Merck, where he was responsible for lab automation and data management for the Cardiovascular and Neuroscience screening laboratories.

Roger holds a B.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Surrey in the UK. He specialises in client engagement and operating in complex and diverse technical and cultural environments. He has a passion for operational improvement and good data management.
